We all know that part of being a Scout is being helpful, friendly, courteous, and kind. And what better way to do so than to lighten the lives of those a little less fortunate, those who may feel a little left out, or even those who deserve a little thanks for a job well-done.
Give & Goetze gets you there.
During each month of the initiative, Goetze's Candy will ask your troop, pack, or crew to complete an assignment. The challenge: demonstrate how you help out in your local community. It could be holding a food drive, collecting blankets for a homeless shelter, volunteering at a local organization, or cleaning up your neighborhood park. Our hope is that this challenge isn't really a challenge at all. As Scouts, we know you already give back, all we want you to do is take some pictures, document and share it!
If you are one of the 25 lucky troops, packs, or crews chosen at random, you'll be asked to work together once again... but this time, it's to decide whose lives you're gonna brighten.
More than just a challenge, the Give & Goetze initiative is really an opportunity for Scouts to reach out to their community and make a difference by simply spending some time with people who might need a little pick-me-up. So who's it gonna be? A volunteer fire department or retirement home? Maybe a veteran's organization? Or how about a children's hospital or a school for the physically disabled? It's entirely up to you.
Once you decide, let us know and you'll receive a shipment of Goetze's Caramel Creams® and a bunch of Candy-Grams for your troop, pack, or crew to personalize and deliver to the local group of your choice. Pretty sweet, huh?
